Top Warzone pro DiazBiffle has aired his concerns about the upcoming rumored return of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone, as Activision have failed to clamp down on the hacking problem that has persisted.
While nothing has yet been confirmed by Activision or Warzone devs Raven Software, the latest leaks and rumors point towards the OG Warzone map returning, as it was when it first launched, on March 20 alongside the start of Season 3.
While longtime Warzone players are excited about the return, and keen to get back to a time often referred to as the “glory days” of the battle royale, some are not quite as excited.

“It’s criminal the amount of teamers and cheaters at this time,” he said after what was clearly a turbulent run of games. “There’s no way they fix this before Verdansk.”

He added that if a developer was constantly watching their streams, they would ban “half the lobby,” so widespread is the issue in higher ranks.

There is a fear among many players that Verdansk will come back the way it ended all the way back in 2021, with hackers ruining every game and a clean lobby being almost impossible to come across.
Activision haven’t announced any major updates or changes coming to their anti-cheat system any time soon, but they’ll no doubt be hoping that the return of Verdansk will bring back some goodwill and a portion of the depleting player base.
